Coated nonwoven is a collective term for different types of nonwoven material, like spunbond, that have been coated with another material to achieve different properties and control factors such as liquid or air permeability.
We have different types of coated nonwoven in our range, but are also developing new solutions based on specific customer needs. We primarily target manufacturing companies.
Coated Nonwoven
Control Air and Liquid Permeability
With coated nonwoven, the material's amazing properties as a backing are used, for example, to control air and liquid permeability.
Sample of Coated nonwoven
This is determined based on what nonwoven is chosen and what coating is applied to the material.
Coated nonwoven is usually made from spunbond consisting of polyester fiber or polypropylene fiber that is then coated with another material.
Nonwoven can also be coated to make it reflective (aluminum coating) and antistatic.
WHERE IS IT USED?
Coated nonwoven fabric are used for medical and health purposes, such as isolation clothing, disposable sheets, shoe covers, etc
Coated nonwoven used as a backing or stabilizer for different materials – in the construction industry for example.
Construction: The construction industry uses nonwoven, usually spunbond, coated with polyethylene for waterproofing in wet rooms or as wind and moisture protection outdoors. Coated spunbond is
also used as a vapor barrier. With different coatings, you can create different densities and levels of permeability.
Absorbents: Because the material can block liquid but allow moisture in, it is often used
